City Council members receive a monthly stipend of $500.00 by Charter for sitting as the City Council; and the Mayor receives an additional $100.00 each month as a part of the adopted budget and Resolution 2024-78. The GSA is representing the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) who is wanting to lease approximately 711 Rentable Square-Feet in the Merced Yosemite Regional Airport. RECOMMENDATION City Council - Adopt a motion: A. Approving the Lease Agreement between the General Services Administration and City of Merced, in form; and, B. Authorizing the City Manager and City Attorney to make changes to the Lease Agreement without changing the base rates in the Agreement; and, C. SUBJECT: Adoption of a Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Submit a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) with an Estimated Total Project Cost of $500,000 to Implement a Comprehensive, Department-Wide Hazardous Materials Training Program with a City Match of 10% ($45,454.55) of the Grant Funds REPORT IN BRIEF Considers adopting a Resolution 2026-33 authorizing the submittal of a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for a FEMA Assistance to Firefighter Grant (AFG) with an estimated total project cost of $500,000 to prepare firefighters for the unique challenges posed by new energy sources and evolving transportations risks. The Project Site is a 3.19-Acre Portion of a 5.7-acre Parcel. The Subject Site is Generally Located on the South Side of East Yosemite Avenue Approximately 460 feet West of Parsons Avenue (1380 E. Yosemite Avenue). The Site Plan Review Permit Would Allow the Development of a Self-Storage Facility (Approximately 500 Storage Units). The Minor Use Permit would be for Interface Review to Allow Commercial Development Adjacent to or Across from a Low-Density Residential Zone at a Site Zoned Planned Development #20 (P-D #20) and Designated Business Park in the General Plan REPORT IN BRIEF Request for City Council to consider and approve Site Plan Review Permit #26-0018 Minor Use Permit #26-0030 and Environmental Review #26-005. The subject site is approximately 3.19 acres of a 5.7-acre parcel located at 1380 E. Yosemite Avenue.
