SUBJECT: Approval of a Participation Agreement to Host the 2023 Gran Fondo Hincapie-Merced Bike Race, Family Festival & Expo on March 18, 2023 for an Amount not to Exceed $50,000, Authorization to Accept Donations up to $24,000, and Appropriate the Same to Offset the not to Exceed Amount of $50,000 REPORT IN BRIEF Considers approving a participation agreement with Gran Fondo Hicapie to host the 2023 Gran Fondo Hincapie-Merced Bike Race, Family Festival & Expo on March 18, 2023 for an amount not to exceed $50,000; and, accepting donations up to $24,000 and appropriating the same to offset the not to exceed amount of $50,000. RECOMMENDATION City Council - Adopt a motion: A. Approving a participation agreement with the Gran Fondo Hincapie for an amount not to exceed $50,000 for the 2023 Gran Fondo Hincapie-Merced Bike Race, Family Festival & Expo; and, B. Accepting donations up to $24,000 into City Council Contribution Fund 001-0101-360-02.01-00, and appropriating the same to City Council Other Materials Supplies account line 001-0101-512.29-00; and, C. Authorizing the City Manager or the Deputy City Manager to execute the necessary documents.
