SUBJECT: Administering Agency Amendment Modification Summary (E-76) for a Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement (CMAQ) Grant CML-5085(049) for Use of $508,347 in CMAQ Grant Funding for Project No. 119043 - Construct Pedestrian/Bike Improvements on Motel Drive Between Carol Avenue and Merced Avenue REPORT IN BRIEF Considers accepting $508,347 in Federal CMAQ Grant funding for construction of pedestrian/bike improvements on Motel Drive between Carol Avenue and Merced Avenue. Installing a multi-use path along Motel Drive from Carol Avenue to Merced Avenue will allow for both bike and sidewalk connectivity for Golden Valley High School students, residential community, tenants at the hotels/inn/motels to access restaurants and stores along the Motel Drive corridor. RECOMMENDATION City Council - Adopt a motion: A. Accepting CMAQ grant funds and increasing revenue in account 450-1104-321.32-00 by $508,347 and appropriating the same to account 450-1104-637-65-00 (Project No. 119043) for costs associated with construction of pedestrian/bike improvements on Motel Drive between Carol Avenue and Merced Avenue; and, B. Approving a budget adjustment for local matching funds from Fund 075 - Measure V Alternate Modes, Project No. 123005 - Projects to be Determined, in the amount of $65,862 to Project No. 119043 - Construct Pedestrian/Bike Improvements on Motel Drive Between Carol Avenue and Merced Avenue; and, C. Approving the use of pooled cash until reimbursement is received from the grant; and, D. Authorizing the City Manager or the Deputy City Manager to execute the necessary documents.
