SUBJECT: Input Requested on Areas of Parks and Recreation Staff Training REPORT IN BRIEF Per Commission’s suggestion, staff would like input on specific trainings of interest to be provided to Parks and Recreation staff. RECOMMENDATION Commission create an ad hoc subcommittee to work in collaboration with Parks and Recreation Director to develop a list of potential trainings for staff to receive on annual basis to ensure effective, safe (both physically and emotionally), responsive and professional services are offered to the community. Staff recommends the identification of two commissioners work with Director in a subcommittee capacity to develop a suggested annual trainings catalogue for Department use.
