SUBJECT: Recommendation to the Merced City Council Regarding the Distribution of the 2021 Wahneta Hall Trust Funds in the Amount of $2,933 to the Kiwanis Club of Greater Merced to Operate and Maintain a Mini Train in Applegate Park and to the Merced Marching 100 Band in the Amount of $1,500 to Hold a Concert in the Park, Allocating the Remaining $188 to One or Both of the Applicants, and Recommending a Supplemental Appropriation of $1,092 to Disburse the Total Amount Available REPORT IN BRIEF The Commission will provide a recommendation to the Merced City Council regarding of the disbursement of the Wahneta Hall Trust Fund to the Kiwanis Club of Greater Merced in the amount of $2,933 to be used to operate and maintain the train at Kiddieland in Applegate Park and the Merced Marching 100 in the amount of $1,500 to hold a concert in the park, and allocating the remaining $188 to one or both of the applicants, and recommending a supplemental appropriation of $1,092 to disburse the total amount available. RECOMMENDATION Recreation and Parks Commission - Adopt a motion: A. Recommending Approval of an allocation of the 2020-21 Wahneta Hall Trust Funds of $2,933 to the Kiwanis Club of Greater Merced; and, B. Recommending Approval of an allocation of the 2020-21 Wahneta Hall Trust Funds of $1,500 to the Merced Marching 100; and, C. Recommending Approval of an allocation of the remaining balance of $188 to one or both applicants to the Merced City Council; and, D. Recommending a supplemental appropriation of $1,092 from the unreserved fund balance of Fund 795 - Wahneta Hall Trust Fund to account 795-1903-592-29-00.
