SUBJECT: Report to Consider and Accept, Modify or Reject the Regional Airport Authority Recommendation Regarding a Proposed Modification to the Name of the Merced Regional Airport, as Requested by the Merced City Council, to Merced Yosemite Regional Airport or Merced Yosemite Airport REPORT IN BRIEF The Regional Airport Authority has considered and voted unanimously to recommend to the Merced City Council possible new names for the Merced Regional Airport including Merced Yosemite Regional Airport and Merced Yosemite Airport. RECOMMENDATION: City Council - Adopt a Motion: A. Selecting one of the two Airport recommended name changes, Merced Yosemite Regional Airport or Merced Yosemite Airport, as provided by the Regional Airport Authority; and, B. Directing staff to prepare a Resolution changing the name of the Airport to the selected name for subsequent City Council action.
