SUBJECT: Authorization to Waive the Competitive Bidding Requirements and Approval of Purchase of Four Budgeted Fleet Vehicles, Including One Caterpillar Articulating Loader from Holt of California for $124,566.41, One 150HP Tractor from Garton Tractor for $127,744.42, One Hydro-Excavator from Weco Industries, LLC, for $439,598.92, One Flusher/Hydro-Excavator from Terry Equipment for $449,332.26; Through Cooperative Purchasing Agreements with Sourcewell and HGAC REPORT IN BRIEF Considers authorizing a waiver of competitive bidding requirement pursuant to Merced Municipal Code Section 3.04.210 to purchase four currently budgeted and Council approved fleet vehicles through the government procurement programs Sourcewell and HGAC RECOMMENDATION City Council - Adopt a motion: A. Waiving the City’s competitive bidding requirement as permitted by Merced Municipal Code section 3.04.210 and authorizing the purchases to be made with cooperative purchase agreements through Sourcewell and HGAC, two government procurement programs; and, B. Approving the purchase of one Caterpillar Articulating Loader in the amount of $131,428.90 from Holt of California through Sourcewell contract #032515-CAT; and, C. Approving the purchase of one 150HP Tractor in the amount of $127,744.42 from Garton Tractor through Sourcewell contract #021815-CNH; and, D. Approving the purchase of one Wet/Dry Hydro Excavator in the amount of $439,598.92 from Weco Industries, LLC, through Sourcewell contract #122017-GPV; and, E. Approving the purchase of one Combination Sewer Cleaner (Flusher/Hydro-Excavator) in the amount of $449,332.26 from Terry Equipment through HGAC contract # SC01-18 B030A; and, F. Authorizing the City Manager or the Assistant Manager to execute any necessary documents for the purchases specified above, the Finance Officer to make the appropriate budget adjustments and City Buyer to issue the Purchase Orders.
