1. 1 Board of Police Commissioners report relative to a response provided by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) for an overview of the current status of the LAPD Cadet Program, the Police Academy Magnet Schools (PAMS) Program, the Police Orientation Preparation Program (POPP), the Associated Community Officer Program (ACOP), and related matters.
2. 2 Motion (Park – Padilla) relative to instructing the Police Department's Security Services Division and Library Department to report on immediate steps that can be taken to enhance safety for the City's library workforce and its patrons, inclusive of enhanced security, workplace violence prevention plans and trainings as required by SB 533, capital improvements, enforcement of library suspensions and faster response times from law enforcement to calls for service, and related matters.
3. 3 Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) report relative to the inspection, oversight, public safety measures, and resource needs for the Rancho LPG facility located in San Pedro.
4. 4 City Administrative Officer and City Attorney reports relative to the year three of a five year grant cycle awarded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, under the Resiliency in Communities After Stress and Trauma (ReCast) Program.
5. 5 City Administrative Officer and Emergency Management Department (EMD) reports relative to the authority to accept the Fiscal Year 2022 Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) and contracting authority.
6. 6 Motion (Park - Lee) relative to requesting a comprehensive analysis of the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) and Department of Water and Power's (DWP) workflow for inspecting and repairing the City's network of fire hydrants, a work plan to repair fire hydrants in need of maintenance, and a report on the cost of upgrading the City's stock of fire hydrants.
7. 7 Board of Fire Commissioners report relative to the continuation of grant funds for the Fiscal Year 2021 Port Security Grant Program (PSGP) for Marine Firefighter Training.
8. 8 Board of Fire Commissioners report relative to the continuation of grant funds for the Fiscal Year 2022 Port Security Grant Program (PSGP) for a Dive Simulator and Sonar.
