1. 1 PUBLIC PARTICIPATION INSTRUCTIONS: The meeting will be open to the public. The meeting will also be live-streamed via Zoom. Although the County strives to offer remote participation, be advised that remote Zoom participation is provided for convenience only. In the event of a technological malfunction, the only assurance of live comments being received by the Commission is to attend in person. Except for a noticed teleconference meeting, the Commission reserves the right to conduct the meeting without remote access if there is a malfunction. 9. 10 REPORTS: Judges Comments (5 minutes)Judge Mayberry talked about the recent upward trend in assault cases particularly in schools on the West Slope. Generally between classmates - noted coping with anger skills She mentioned she reached out to the Courts Administration to get more involved with the JJDPC. Juvenile Treatment Center - Assistant Deputy Chief Probation Officer (5 min) ADCPO Borovich: Update at the JTC - Both pods new carpet is being installed and removing metal bolted to the ground tables. Getting more "softer furniture" for a home feel. Recent BSCC Evaluation went really well - excellent feedback with zero issues of noncompliance. Currently there are 9 males and 2 females and no SYTF. Requested the 2024 JJDPC Inspection and reports due by June 30, 2024. JJDPC scheduled this for June 2, 2024. There is a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Lake Room (new Multi- Sensory De-escalation Room at the JTC) on June 20, 2024 Chief Probation Officer (10 minutes) - unable to attend Treasurer's Report (5 Minutes) - nothing new to report since March meeting. Talked about looking to grants and who to help put in the right direction Leadership Team (10 minutes) - nothing new to report Ad Hoc Committee: Education Ad Hoc Committee Update (10 minutes) Brian Conway agreed to step down from the Education Ad Hoc Committee and will join the next one due to concerns with following the Brown Act (if membership is down and at 6 members...having 4 on one Ad Hoc may be a concern)

12. 15 NEW BUSINESS Discuss alternate dates and times for monthly Commission meetings - Commission agreed to move the meeting time up to 5:00 p.m. - 6:30p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month. The meetings will continue to be held in person at the EDC Probation Department Conference Room. For now the in person meeting location will be limited to the West Slope at the EDC Probation Dept. on Durock Rd in Shingle Springs. When more members join there will be consideration to host an alternate location at the Group Contact Room in the JTC. Confirm with Judge Mayberry if the 5:00 p.m. start time will conflict with her schedule. Approved Pass
