1. 1 PUBLIC PARTICIPATION INSTRUCTIONS: The meeting will be open to the public. The meeting will also be live-streamed via Zoom. Although the County strives to offer remote participation, be advised that remote Zoom participation is provided for convenience only. Suggestion to share information to post on court social media and webpage. Juvenile Treatment Center Assistant Deputy Chief Probation Officer (5 minutes) Current population is 16 - 15 at the JTC and one Secure Youth Track (SYT) Contract (13 male and 3 female) 0 Use of Force Reports - this month 0 Suicide or attempt reports - this month 12 intakes 3 release UPDATES: -New Creative Hope Music Studio installation from EDCOE -New key pad system scheduled early Spring for Control Room -New carpet installed in two main classrooms (recently, new carpet was installed in the PODS) - Probation has a new PA starting for the Control Room - Probation has additional Extra Help positions added for coverage Chief Probation Officer (10 minutes) - not in attendance Treasurer's Report (5 minutes) - no updates to report Leadership Team (10 minutes) - no updates to report Outreach/Communication (10 minutes each) - Communication: Working on updating JJDPC webpage, a new JJDPC informational flyer and additional communication to recruit members to the commission. 13. 3. El Dorado Community Foundation - Request approval of acknowledgement of donation from the JJDPC to Independent High School in their February Newsletter No objections from the Commission.
14. 4. COPE (Coalition for Overdose Prevention and Education) request for donation to support a student-lead fentanyl awareness campaign. They are in need of up to $5,000 and would be grateful for a donation in any amount. M. Guerrero offered to reach out for more information and invite a representative from COPE to attend the February meeting.
15. 5. San Mateo County JJDPC hosting a statewide JJDPC meeting in February via Zoom. Commission interested in attendance. Commission member B. Conway shared his email address to be included when invitation goes out. Support Staff, Oates also shared her email. When Zoom link is released for this meeting J. Oates will share with the rest of the commission if they are interested in participating.
