1. 1 PUBLIC PARTICIPATION INSTRUCTIONS: The meeting will be open to the public. The meeting will also be live-streamed via Zoom. 10. 10 REPORTS Judge's Comments – not in attendance Juvenile Treatment Center Assistant Deputy Probation Officer - Beth Borovich in attendance reported: On 7/17/25 OYCR visited the JTC (3 representatives) met with all but one youth in the facility as well as DCPO Smith, ADCPO Borovich and DPOS DeVol. No known grievances to report and no follow up action needed. Feedback from OYCR discussion with Youth: 1) point loss equitable male/female 2) food quantity/portion size – some youth noted they would like larger portions with meals. Currently: 13youth (10 male/3 female) – 1 SYTF, 1 Challenge – both from out of County of El Dorado y 5 bookings – 4 released of the 5 bookings - two from in county (1WS and 1SLT) and three from out of County of El Dorado 4 use of force reports within the last 30 days (decline from last month) 7 suicide watch incidents (increase from last month) No current major projects going on at the JTC New furniture is still in the works – currently with County Procurement CFT (Child and Family Team) – 3-4 per month (including pre-placement and transition home or out) Chief Probation Officer - not in attendance Treasurer's Report – not in attendance Leadership Team - nothing new to report

12. 12 Tahoe Alliance for Safe Kids (TASK) - Presentation Theresa Papandrea Task's Mission is to prevent and reduce youth substance use and related harm Evolved from Drug Free Collaboration (2012) primarily (90%) grant funded. Going into 4th year as a non-profit work, 8 member Board, approx $30K annual budget Theresa works with TASK approx 20 hrs/week as primary * distribute medical lock bags (keep prescriptions out of reach of children) and drug deactivation kits (disposal of medications safely) * presentations with youth - tie into schools and education - preventative and educational assemblies and healthy decisions - Kindness Assembly, "refusal" skills - ways to say "no" * partners with Live Violence Free *Soul Shoppe - Social Emotional Health - build skills and tools to deal with stress and coping skills Theresa Papandrea also coordinates the Drugstore Project
