1. 1 PUBLIC PARTICIPATION INSTRUCTIONS: The meeting will be open to the public. The meeting will also be live-streamed via Zoom. 9. 10 REPORTS • Judge’s Comments – Judge Mayberry Shared the 2026 Superior Court of El Dorado County Caseload Trends report – and noted the Juvenile numbers have decreased. Guerrero – would like to gather additional information on number of cases on West Slope vs South Lake Tahoe. Judge Mayberry noted on average approx. 75-80% from WS for delinquency. (larger population) • Interim Chief Probation Officer – Not in attendance • Juvenile Treatment Center – Acting Deputy Chief Probation Officer – Beth Borovich the BSCC Field Report 2026 Targeted Inspection was today 3/17/26. Nothing reported out of compliance. JTC o Average population is 10 o Current population is 8 – all Male o 6 Youth pending dispo o 1 challenge – Marin Co. o 1 SYTF – Yolo Co. o 1 Inuyo Co. o 7 Use of Force o 1 Attempt. Suicide – Barton Hold Judge Mayberry – Asked to the status of Short Term Residential Treatment Program (STRTP) long delayed process – involvement of BH from the other counties and not always in agreement causing delays and adds layers of difficulties tied to MediCal. Presumptive Transfer Process. Curently have 3-4 currently in JTC pending and some since Dec/Jan. – Long waiting lists and detrimental delays with the process. • Treasurer’s Report – Not in attendance – report at April meeting • Leadership Team New application done. Oates will post to the webpage. • Outreach & Education - nothing new to report • Status of New Members & Recruitment Discussion around potential candidates to the commission. Guerrero reaching out to Christopher Lilly. He is a resident of El Dorado County but currently attending UC Irvine studying law. He is home on vacations and summers. He is involved with supporting youth in our county and would make a great addition to the commission and bring new perspectives. Guerrero has a meeting with him on the 23rd and will encourage him to fill out an application to the commission online. Discussion around Social Media presence – Oates will work on posts to submit to commission for review then share with the County (Carla Hass) as well as post with the Probation Social Media and reach out to EDCOE. Posts for recruitment as well as promotion of the commission. Monterosso noted a good area to recruit for Commission members would be retired educators who have an interest to continue to support youth in our county perhaps touch base with EDCOE for recommendations. She also reached out to Amy Pooley for recommendations and is following up on a recommendation from her at NAMI

14. 14 • Continue discussion around potential support from JJDPC for assistance with hotel accommodation in South Lake Tahoe region for families visiting youth at the JTC. At the December 2025 JJDPC meeting Hotel Asure was a potential option for consideration as well as other suggestions Due to time constraints, this item will be carried over to the April 2026 JJDPC agenda.
