  1. 1 Recommendation : Approve the Bills and Claims for July 2024 in the amount of $3,965,335 and for August 2024 in the amount of $3,403,932.
  2. 2 Recommendation : It is recommended that the Council receive and file the Cal Cities 2024 Resolutions Packet; and, if there are specific comments related to the Voting Delegate's support or opposition to the Resolutions to so advise.
  3. 3 Recommendation : Approve minutes for July 17, 2024 and August 20, 2024
  4. 4 Recommendation : It is recommended that the Council adopt the budget amendment for the annual Earth Day Event.
  5. 5 Recommendation : Approve and accept the $200,000 anonymous donation for the continuation of a full-time contract police wellness program coordinator to be shared by the Atherton, East Palo Alto, and Menlo Park Police Departments, and authorize the City Manager to execute a collaborative agreement for the program.
  6. 6 Recommendation : It is recommended that the Council adopt the revised City Council Handbook, Rules of Procedure and Code of Conduct; and adopt Resolution 24-XX – Rules Governing Committees.
  7. 7 Recommendation : Staff recommends that the City Council conduct a public hearing to consider the following actions that will revise and implement the 2023-2031 Housing Element to comply with state law:
  8. 8 Recommendation : It is recommended that the Council receive the staff report, discuss and provide direction regarding adoption of a Town Charter, to include consideration of appointment of a Standing Subcommittee of the City Council.
  9. 9 Recommendation : Review and approve the attached response to the San Mateo County Grand Jury Report on their report entitled "Assessing and Reporting Internal Controls in San Mateo County Agencies and School Districts."
  10. 10 Recommendation : Staff recommends to approve the Town of Atherton's Response Letter to the San Mateo County Civil Grand Jury Report entitled "Restaurant Exteriors: the Neglected Space" and authorize the Mayor to execute the letter response.
  11. 11 Recommendation : It is recommended that the Council review and discuss the Town's response to the San Mateo County Civil Grand Jury on their report entitled "The State of Compost Compliance in San Mateo County," and if appropriate, authorize the Mayor to sign the response letter.
